TurfTech 2025 - concluding from Basel
What a final day! From theory to practice, from 'Ted Talks' to pitch: the second day of TurfTech 2025 in Basel once again showed how strong this sector is when knowledge, technology and people come together. We returned home with stories that will stick.
For our podcast, we added these more voices:
David Roberts - International Sports Turf Managers Association (ISTMA)
Joris Eudeline - Head Grounds, AS Monaco
Philippe Debougnoux - Fert in Time Europe
Florian Mans - Stogger Turf Care, also the driving force behind TurfTech
On the pitch of St. Jakob-Park, home of FC Basel 1893, we delved deeper into concrete innovations, together with:
– Jan-Willem Kraaijeveld (GKB Machines) - about their multifunctional machines that seamlessly combine efficiency and durability. Well-known in the industry!
– Tijs Meeske & Joep van Cranenbroek (Hi Sports) - with the HiPSter, the smart field meter that measures hardness, grip and ball bounce in real time and displays them directly in a dashboard. New in the industry!
– Tom Worthy (Howardson Group Ltd) - around Dennis Mowers, from robust cylinder mowers to the durable, quiet battery-powered E-Series. Legends in the industry! Plus a new flagship machine, which we're not allowed to talk about just yet. But that's coming soon ... 🤫 #omerta
Keep it Green - spearheaded by magazine manager thomas Goossens - provided the green thread throughout the event. Above all, TurfTech 2025 proved that this business is alive and well: from pioneering innovations to robust discussions and spontaneous encounters. For us, an inspiring start to many new stories we will soon have the opportunity to share. 🚀
PS Thanks again to Florian and the Stogger team. Well organised and very hands-on during the event. Toppie!
